Westview is an unincorporated community in north-central Miami-Dade County, about 17.7 miles southeast of our Weston base. It is a residential area of single-family homes, many of them modest concrete block houses built in the mid-twentieth century. In homes of that age, wallpaper projects often begin with taking something old down and getting the wall back into shape.

StyleWall Interiors takes care of the whole sequence: removing the old paper, patching and smoothing the surface, priming, and hanging a new design. If you only want the old paper gone so you can paint, we can do that too.
We start by testing how the existing paper is bonded. Vinyl-faced papers often peel off dry, leaving a backing layer that we soak and scrape. Papers stuck directly to unprimed walls take more patience. Either way, we finish by washing the wall to remove paste so nothing interferes with the next finish.
Nail holes, dents, and small cracks are filled and sanded. Torn drywall paper is sealed so it does not bubble under a skim coat.
A thin layer of compound across the wall evens out patches and texture. Once dry and primed, the wall is ready for paper or paint.
We offer wallpaper removal, wall prep and skim coating, residential wallpaper hanging, accent walls, peel-and-stick installation, custom murals, and repairs for seams and tears. We explain each step before we start, so you know how long the room will be out of use.
Not right away. Leftover paste must be washed off and the wall primed, or the paint can crack and peel.
An oil-based or shellac-based sealer is often used over damaged areas, followed by a primer suited to paint or wallpaper.
Yes. Ceiling paper takes more setup, but the process is the same as for walls.
It involves water and wet scraps, so we cover floors and furniture and clean up at the end of each day.
Yes. A patterned or textured wall draws the eye and gives the room a focal point without much material.
We hang it on the interior finish over the block. If that finish is sound and dry, it can be prepped like drywall.
