Tamarac is about 11.7 miles north of our Weston base, and much of the city is made up of established condo, villa, and active adult communities alongside single-family streets. That means a lot of the walls we see here have been papered before, sometimes more than once, and the first job is often taking the old layers down without damaging the drywall.

StyleWall Interiors handles that removal carefully, repairs what is underneath, and then hangs the new paper on a clean, sealed surface. If you are updating a home you have lived in for years or getting a newly purchased unit ready, we can help you plan the rooms in a sensible order.
Older papers were often hung directly on unprimed drywall, which makes them harder to remove. We test a small area first, then use scoring, steam, or remover depending on how the glue responds. Where the paper face tears away cleanly and leaves backing behind, we take that off too so nothing loose stays under the new layer.
After removal, walls can show torn paper face, nail holes, and uneven patches. A thin skim coat fills these and gives a smooth base that new wallpaper needs to look right.
A wallpaper primer helps the paste grab evenly and makes the next removal easier years from now. We let each coat dry fully before moving on.
We offer wallpaper removal, wall prep and skim coating, residential wallpaper hanging, accent walls, custom murals, grasscloth and natural fibers, designer papers, peel-and-stick installation, and repair of lifted seams or torn sections. We also work in clubhouses and offices that need commercial wallcovering.
Yes. We keep the work area contained, cover floors, and leave a clear path through the rest of your home.
We do not recommend it. The new layer can pull the old one loose, and seams from underneath often show through. Removing it first gives a cleaner result.
Some sanding is needed, but we keep it light and clean up at the end of each day. Hand sanding and good covering keep the mess limited to the room.
We can share what tends to work in rooms like yours and point out patterns that are easier or harder to match at seams.
If you have leftover rolls, we can patch with them. If the pattern is discontinued, we may suggest repapering the full wall for a consistent look.
Only if your community requires contractor sign-in. Let us know the process and we will follow it.
